Return and refund policy - all products
- Unlike physical goods, electronically distributed software and software licenses can be duplicated. Once a license has been issued, it is unfortunately not possible for us to recall all copies. Therefore, Totalidea Software does not accept product returns or exchanges.
- Under no circumstances we will issue a refund on software where the unlock code has already been sent to the customer. There is no exception from this policy, no matter whether a customer finds that the software is incompatible with your specific software configuration and/or hardware configuration, after a customer has received an unlocking code. In case you have encountered a bug within one of our software products, we need a detailed description of the problem. Provided we can confirm that our software does not work under certain circumstances, we will offer a fix for the problem.
- For a software development company it is simply impossible to test drive a software on every possible hardware and software configuration, especially nowadays where daily updates to operating systems, hotfixes for other third party products make it impossible to guarantee that a specific product works under any circumstance. That's why we offer trial versions: to ensure system compatibility with the system of a potential customer. Therefore: customers must test-drive our software before they decide to buy it! This is in their very own interest to avoid incompatibility issues with the customer's computer system. We go to great lengths to produce a trial version with which customers can ensure their satisfaction and system compatibility. This allows our customers to make an informed purchasing decision.
- There is no refund for service plans, like the 'Registration email backup service'.
If a customer orders one of our 'Registration email backup' services, additional 'Terms and Conditions' for the service must be confirmed, which can be accessed here.
By placing an order for any of our software products and/or services a customer confirms that
- the trial version(s) and/or free versions of the software product(s) have been tested before on the target system
- the product(s) have been tested for system compatibility with the customer's PC system and configuration
- he/she accepts this return policy as displayed above
Special terms and conditions for TweakVI subscriptions:
- Subscriptions are valid for 12 months starting with the day of an order. The subscriber editions of TweakVI can surely be used once a subscription has actually expired - the software will not stop to function if a subscription has expired.
- One subscription can be used on one computer only. Volume discounts are available.
- Installation requires online activation. An internet connection is required in order to install the subscription version of TweakVI.
- Totalidea Software is not obliged to release a certain number of new plug-ins or updated plug-ins within your subscription period.
- Due to the nature of the service: there are no refunds possible on the subscription fee.
- Totalidea Software is not responsible for any system configuration issue caused by the incorrect use of their software and/or the included system tweaks. All tweaks included to Totalidea Software products are common tweaks and do not hurt the hardware neither a typical software configuration. However - due to the fact that no hardware and no software configuration is the same, we are unable to guarantee that a specific tweak only has positive effects on the performance of a computer. It is surely possible that a Windows configuration can be damaged if TweakVI is misused. Therefore we do not offer any kind of refund in such cases.

- Installation requires online activation. An internet connection is required in order to install the registered version of OutlookBackupPro.
